On October 8, 2023, we came together to walk in support of Robin, who has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Over the years, I have gotten to know Robin’s father through our interactions at Sam’s Club, where he was one of my top members. He expressed a desire to host a Soul Food dinner to benefit The Pynkk Table and suggested organizing a walk for Robin. We embraced the idea wholeheartedly.

The event exceeded our expectations, drawing over 250 supporters came out to show their love and solidarity for Robin. We sold out of dinners and celebrated together, creating an unforgettable atmosphere. We even closed down Grand and St. Louis Ave to dance and uplift Robin with our presence and energy. The support was genuine and heartfelt, allowing Robin’s family and the Pynkk Table to extend their blessings to her.

The day was a beautiful testament to community strength and compassion, the energy was amazing and real.
